Our client is looking for a well-presented, personable, and proactive L2 IT Support Engineer who will work within a supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing support remotely and on client sites around various Sydney locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting onsite engineers and providing remote technical support to clients across different industries.
  • Consult with clients and repair, maintain, upgrade, install, configure networks, security, servers, laptops, desktops, and other hardware.
  • Provide consultative assistance with infrastructure projects.
  • Provide support for Windows Desktops, Active Directory, Microsoft Server, MS Azure, and VMware virtualisation technologies.
  • Provide support for VoIP Technology
  • Complete documentation and paperwork
  • Managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including firewalls, VLANs, and Wi-Fi.
  • related to jobs in information/document management system.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate the root cause of issues
  • Update / create knowledge base articles

Key Skills Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with a strong interest in providing IT support.
  • Certification/s and technically skilled in current technologies e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Sophos, etc.
  • Understanding of MS Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Microsoft 365 troubleshooting and administration.
  • Network experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, routing, firewall, SD-WAN, BGP
  • VoIP technology- 3CX in particular
  • Superior customer service skills and a high of level verbal and written skills.
  • Effective problem solving/analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • The ability to resolve and communicate effective solutions to issues.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Intermediate networking and firewalls experience.
  • Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle-this role requires travel to client sites.
